Inclusive Logistics: Alerce Renews Its Alliance with the Juan XXIII Foundation for the Management of Its Warehouses

Logistics

Alerce, a leading company in technology solutions for logistics and transport belonging to Alerce Group, and the Juan XXIII Foundation have renewed and strengthened their alliance for the management of the non-profit organisation's warehouses. These centres have been operating for more than five years with the comprehensive warehouse management software Tamesis WMS, a solution designed to optimise logistics processes from end to end.

The renewal of the collaboration is part of the modernisation and technological innovation process being driven by the Juan XXIII Foundation. Its objective: to strengthen labour inclusion through operational excellence.

"This alliance is an example of how Alerce's technology can be a catalyst for social transformation, as the operational efficiency of its solution makes processes smoother and tasks more manageable and controllable, therefore easy to use for all our users", explains David Velasco, Logistics Director of the Juan XXIII Foundation.

Logistics with purpose

The Juan XXIII Foundation has eleven business lines, among which the provision of logistics and supply chain services stands out, where more than 55 people work, 77% of whom have some form of disability.

This team is dedicated to:

  • Integral logistics and supply chain management.

  • Stock control and transport solutions.

  • Order picking and traceability.

  • Key sectors such as dry food products and workwear.

Technology for inclusion

The implementation of Tamesis WMS enables the foundation to manage each stage of the logistics process with precision:

  • Order and goods receipt.

  • Stock control and transport.

  • Real-time traceability.

  • KPI generation and monitoring.

  • Scalability and integration with external platforms.

It is a key tool for combining logistics efficiency and social impact within a single operating model.

"This is a collaboration that makes us especially proud because of the foundation's outstanding social work, and because it demonstrates the positive dimension that the implementation of innovation and technology generates in our sector", says Fernando Pes, Commercial Director of Alerce.

Alerce and Juan XXIII Foundation: technology with social impact

Founded in Zaragoza, Alerce has more than 30 years of experience developing management software for the transport and logistics sector. More than 250 companies in Europe and Latin America rely on its TMS and WMS solutions to manage critical operations.

The Juan XXIII Foundation, based in Madrid, has been working for more than 55 years towards the socio-labour inclusion of people in situations of psychosocial vulnerability. Its logistics area demonstrates that it is possible to generate real social impact without sacrificing operational excellence.
