Vector is the mobility app designed for long-distance drivers to manage their consignment notes and direct deliveries from their mobile device. It fully digitises the process, connects the driver to the operation in real time and eliminates paper dependency in the cab.

The electronic consignment note (eCMR) is the digital version of the CMR document (Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road), the international road freight transport contract governed by the 1956 Geneva Convention. Its electronic version is covered by the 2008 Additional Protocol, to which Spain is a signatory, and carries the same legal validity as the paper document.

The European Union has actively promoted its adoption as part of the transport digitalisation strategy: the eFTI Regulation (EU 2020/1056) on electronic freight transport information establishes the progressive obligation for competent authorities to accept — and eventually require — transport information in digital format. Yes. Vector is designed to operate in environments with limited connectivity. Even without coverage, the driver can continue working normally; the app automatically syncs all information as soon as the connection is restored. There is also a web version that allows operation from any terminal without installation, especially useful for external or self-employed drivers.

Vector integrates easily with any existing technology environment. It works via a well-defined API and webhooks that allow real-time data reception. There is no need to change your TMS or ERP: Vector connects, receives the assigned consignment notes and returns operational data to your system from day one.

For clients within the Alerce ecosystem, integration is even more direct: Vector is already available in Alertran Standard, with no additional development required.

Vector is designed to work independently, but it requires a TMS, ERP or other application to assign consignment notes to drivers. That integration can be with Alertran or any other system via API. What Vector does autonomously is manage all operations from the driver's mobile device, collect GPS positions and return them to the system for further use.

Vector is designed to address the main regulatory frameworks driving the digitalisation of road transport in Europe:

• eCMR Protocol (2008): enables the electronic consignment note as a legally equivalent document to the paper CMR between signatory countries.
• eFTI Regulation (EU 2020/1056): requires competent authorities of Member States to accept transport information in electronic format from 2025, with a progressive implementation period.
• Electronic Signature Directive (eIDAS, EU 910/2014): the shipper and driver signatures integrated in VECTOR comply with the recognised electronic signature requirements in the EU.
